Modern office setting The Town of Voluntown Connecticut is currently seeking a Building Office and Land Use Secretary and General Office Assistant.
This is a non-union regular part-time position.
Hours are Monday and Wednesday 9am to 2pm, Tues 9am to 2pm, 5pm to 7pm and Thurs 9am to 2pm and 4pm to 6pm.
Additional hours will be required monthly to attend evening meetings and public hearings.

Responsibilities:
Input and retrieve resident information on computers.
Organize and file documents.
Answer telephone calls, direct calls to appropriate personnel, and provide general telephone receptionist duties.
Compose and send correspondence including faxes and letters.
Create form letters for standard correspondence.
Create mailing labels.
Type and format documents for presentations and publication.
Scan documents into systems.
Keep computerized filing systems current, alphabetical, chronological, or numerical.
Learn new software systems as they are implemented.
